For the Annual World Dog Surfing Championships on August 2nd is Honorary Surfdog Lifeguard Dr. Meline Joaris, @sassquatch_vet
Dr. Joaris will be on standby on the beach to make sure that all of our surf dogs are in great shape after a bit surfing competition.
“I’ll be keeping an eye out for our furry friends’ safety while they catch some epic waves in Pacifica. I rescue older dogs, generally from Muttville in SF but will be leaving my old, grumpy chihuahua, Phil, at home for the event – he’s not a fan of other dogs.
A few years ago, I joined Modern Animal, a veterinary company based out of LA with 5 clinics in the Bay Area with 24/7 Telemedicine support where I now provide remote veterinary virtual care to our patients. The remote work has allowed me to travel and surf more (check out my travels and veterinary work on a recent podcast episode I was invited to on Spotify)! I’m very excited to be able to attend this event again and look forward to seeing all the pups shredding!”
