The World Dog Surfing Championships are producing a livestreamed event which take place on October 2nd. The online virtual event reaches a very large and wide audience of dog lovers, surfing lovers, and lifestyle-focused attendees.
Due to the increased spread of the Delta variant and its increased level of transmission — even at certain types of outdoors events where crowds are in close contact — we must postpone the live in-person portion of the 2021 World Dog Surfing Championships scheduled to take place in Pacifica on August 28th until large live events in California are safer for all involved.

Entries Open to all Surf Dogs, Dog Lovers, and Surfing Fans Worldwide
NEW: This livestream event will focus on video submissions and photos.
This is for 6 extremely important reasons:
- More entrants from more locations can show their best dog surfing heats
- Removes calendar requirements on entrants for October 2nd
- Portions of this event are being developed by TasteTV into a television special about the World Dog Surfing Championships and Dog Surfing, with future broadcast plans later in 2021.
- Higher Online HD Video Quality
- Noticeable Zoom fatigue on the part of some dog entrants.
- The ability for entrants to use videos filmed by them (including GoPro) from other dog surfing events in 2021, as long as no event logos are in the video or photos.
Winners receive World Dog Surfing Championships awards and medals, etc. from the judges. Surfing Entrants based in the United States may also receive VIP Gift Bags.
